Enemy pulling
Hi:
Minor Spoiler ahead I am currently playing the Boris Pass mission in Prophecies, at the point that I need to get the bonus quest, there's a group of dwarfs that I need to kill. Unfortunately there are like 6 or 7 of them. I've tried pulling them out but when they start following me they go back to the group. My question is what kind of strategy do you guys/gals use to pull the enemies that has been effective? I am currently using henchmen and I strategically place a safe marker so they won't stray and aggro the enemies. Thanks for feedback... |

I'd suggest instead of using a bow, get physically closer to the dwarves, allowing your aggro bubble to reach into the enemy group, covering a couple of the red dots....
they will start coming after you, probably the whole group. as you are running back to your flagged henchies (and healers) you will probably have to stop once or twice to allow the enemies to keep aggro on you. You will take a couple of hits from them, maybe more than a couple, but you should be alright if your henchie monks are flagged not to far away. They will step forward to heal you. Now quickly unflag your heroes and run behind them to heal up, and turn around to attack. |

Thanks, I think what I am doing wrong is that I am not stopping therefore they loose the aggro thus returning to their point of origin. Thanks a bunch I will try it that way.

also if they are breaking aggro with you...stop and turn around and hit them with a bow shot..should bring them charging back...

Also, some groups can only be pulled so far. Generally, you just need to pull your targets far enough so that your melee attackers don't have a chance of aggroing the next nearest group.
If that's not a concern, then, yes, it helps to let them hit you every once in awhile on the harder to pull enemies. |
